In Jiangxi, China, a PP tray recycling and washing line—fully designed and delivered by Boretech—operates stably at a capacity of 2,000 kg/h. Through processes including physical recovery, sorting, cleaning, and melting, the line achieves "closed-loop recycling," producing materials with performance close to that of virgin plastic. The output has obtained international certifications such as an FDA No Objection Letter (NOL) and RoHS compliance. The project was put into operation in 2022, and its products have since entered high-end international supply chains.
The customer, a leader in plastic recycling and high-quality recycled plastics, is committed to advancing plastic resource utilization through technological innovation. Building on initial collaboration and trust established in the field of PET recycling, Boretech conducted an in-depth analysis of the customer’s specific material characteristics and production requirements. Through close technical communication and on-site evaluations, Boretech leveraged its core strengths in R&D and equipment manufacturing while actively incorporating the customer’s insights. This collaborative effort resulted in a fully customized PP tray washing process and total solution.
Throughout the project, Boretech worked closely with the customer to overcome multiple technical challenges: innovatively resolving hot-washing difficulties with PP suspension materials, significantly improving washing efficiency and consistency; optimizing the process system to minimize residual odors in the recycled PP, meeting stringent requirements for high-end applications; and effectively controlling powder generation during recycling, thereby increasing the yield of high-quality final product.
Since commissioning, the line has operated smoothly, producing high-quality recycled PP pellets characterized by minimal black spots, low odor, and high transparency—fully meeting mid-to-high-end market standards. These premium recycled materials have been successfully applied in areas such as daily chemical packaging, automotive components, and non-woven fabrics, providing the customer with enhanced market competitiveness and considerable economic returns. With future capacity expansion and global outreach, the customer's influence in the global plastic circular economy is set to grow further.
Based on the experience gained from the successful operation of the Jiangxi project, Boretech has comprehensively optimized and integrated its proven core technologies for PP tray cleaning. This solution effectively addresses common industry challenges including disintegration of highly compacted material, removal of adhesive labels, prevention of material breakage, and separation of complex impurities.
Through the implementation of innovative processes such as material loosening, intensive hot washing, mega aspiration, and yield enhancement technologies, the solution achieves over 90% removal of adhesive residues and increases material recovery rate to 80% - 30% higher than the industry average. The cleaned flakes maintain adhesive content below 1000ppm with other key impurity levels exceeding standard requirements, meeting all quality benchmarks for food-grade rPET and fully complying with stringent FDA and EFSA standards.
