Blueocean Adopts BoReTech’s ES Process for Bottle-to-Bottle PET Recycling

2026-9-30

As the use of recycled PET in packaging continues to grow, bottle-to-bottle recycling provides a direct route for returning post-consumer PET packaging to the packaging cycle. This places higher demands on washing efficiency, contaminant removal and flake quality.

In India, Blueocean, formerly known as Badri, has expanded its PET recycling business from bottle-to-fiber applications to bottle-to-bottle recycling. Following a comprehensive technical evaluation, Blueocean selected BoReTech’s ES process PET bottle washing technology for a new bottle-to-bottle project, with a line capacity of 6,500 kg/h.

The ES process integrates process optimization and modular design with advanced washing and separation technologies. The latest intensive hot washing machine supports effective contaminant removal, while the Mega Aspirator is designed to efficiently separate labels and lightweight contaminants from PET flakes. The Mega Aspirator has also attracted increasing attention and inquiries from customers in the Indian market.

The Blueocean project illustrates the changing requirements for PET recycling as recycled material moves into higher-value packaging applications. By combining efficient bottle washing with effective contaminant separation, the ES process supports the production of cleaner and more consistent recycled PET feedstock for bottle-to-bottle applications.
